Underground

The London Underground - a haven for photography - if you can be discreet and find the light and beauty in what many people consider a bland or even bleak environment. For sure, rush hour and being crammed on a tube in dark dimly lit conditions rubbing shoulders with a person who just hasn’t paid attention to hygiene is very unpleased indeed.  But away from that, away from the crowd and down the connecting corridors and different styles of stations are some photographic gems.  These images are just the tip of the ice on what can be found underground, with two images from the Paris Metro system, which in itself is an altogether different gem entirely.
